I am a licensed, ordained wedding officiant. Every wedding is special and unique. It’s your day!

Check my FAQ page for a quick overview of costs, services, and legal details you want to be aware of.

Option 1: Just Signing Legal Paper Work

You and your partner have decided to make it official. You just need to get the marriage forms signed. You obtained a marriage license and need a licensed officiant. I can come to a location of your choice or you can come to my residence in central Ottawa.

I can often provide same-day service. Be sure you have also lined up your two witnesses!

I charge $295 for this basic signing service of your legal marriage documents. Contact me at any time. My phone number is 613.851.3682.

Option 2: Elopement, Destination Wedding, or Planning a Wedding Ceremony Later

You and your partner wish to get married privately. It’s going to be a romantic moment, but, basically, you just need to get your paper work signed. See the information above. You are required by law to bring two witnesses who can be family, friends, a co-worker or even a stranger. I’m at NickOverduin@gmail.com.

Option 3: Classic Wedding Ceremony

We can adapt this package to best suit your needs! My officiant fee for a classic wedding ceremony is $350 to $450. I look forward to meeting with you. Services for the Wedding Package often include the steps below. We can meet on Zoom or in person to discuss your plans, answer questions you may have and figure out important details!

  • A meeting months or weeks before the service to plan the ceremony. We can do this on Zoom or in person to discuss the details exactly as you like it.
  • A get-together about a week or so before the wedding day to fine-tune as needed.
  • Facilitating the ceremony itself, including the delivery of a short speech or message if desired. I have worked with couples from many different cultural backgrounds to include special rituals and traditions which we can discuss in detail prior to the event. Handfasting ceremonies are just one way I have helped couples make their ceremony special.
  • Taking care your marriage license is signed and mailed to the government so you are legally married!
  • Most couples don’t think it is necessary for me to be at a rehearsal. However, if you or your wedding planner prefer me to attend a rehearsal in person, I’m happy to do so. I charge an additional $250 fee, including HST and mileage within the National Capital region. Don’t hesitate to contact me today!

Other things and expenses you want to know about …

I conduct personalized ceremonies in Ottawa, Kanata, Nepean, Orléans, Barrhaven and throughout the region. I’ve felt honoured to officiate at hundreds of weddings. Most couples say their key questions are answered on my FAQ list. Don’t hesitate to give me a call for a free, no-obligation inquiry.

If you live in Ontario, but plan to get married in Quebec, again, check my FAQ for critical legal information or read my blog post. You will need to make sure you set up a simple process to sign the legal paper work in Ontario. Alternatively, you need to retain an officiant in Quebec and your legal documents will be processed in Quebec.
